This is the website of York Photographic Society, York's longest established photography club and indeed one of Britain's earliest photographic societies. New members are always welcome to this thriving, friendly and energetic camera club.

I Processed it My Way - Wednesday 14 November 2018

Choose 2 of the 6 images and download them to edit. The 1600px images are identical to the full size images but smaller and quicker to download.

(To download right click on the image and select ‘download’).

The 6 images are from 6 different genres and members are invited to edit up to 2 of them for discussion and display on the evening:

1. landscape

2. street

3. portrait

4. wildlife

5. abstract

6. weather

You can use whatever software you want and edit them as creatively as you like. There is no right way to work on any of the images so don’t hold back if you want to try something.

1. Once you have completed your edit it should be resized to 1600 px by 1200px max (if full size) and then save as a jpg

2. Edited files named as FILE GENRE_SURNAME eg PORTRAIT_HART or WILDLIFE_WARD or WEATHER_TAYLOR

3. Send both jpg images to John Illingworth by Sunday 11 November; johnillyphotography@gmail.com

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask them. This is the first time that we have run this session and we would like it to be informative and a success.
