This is the website of York Photographic Society, York's longest established photography club and indeed one of Britain's earliest photographic societies. New members are always welcome to this thriving, friendly and energetic camera club.

A selection of images by YPS Committee member, Webmaster and Digital Image Secretary, David Beverley.

Here's how David describes himself and his photography: "I am essentially a hill walker who enjoys taking photographs. Since retirement in early 2012 I have tried to spend time improving my photographs but I am on a steep uphill learning curve. Because I enjoy hill walking inevitably my photographs have a bias to the landscape form. Myinitial camera was Canon 450D but more recently I use a Canon 100D which is much lighter for the rucksack. My standard lens the Canon 18-135 IS".
