This is the website of York Photographic Society, York's longest established photography club and indeed one of Britain's earliest photographic societies. New members are always welcome to this thriving, friendly and energetic camera club.

Life of an Army Photographer - Jamie Peters

Jamie Peters is coming to speak to YPS on Wednesday 13 January.  Although he has a wide range of photographic interests Jamie is going to show us us his work as an Army photographer.  He qualified at the Defence School of Photography and he also holds the LBIPP (Licentiateship of the British Institute of Professional Photography).  Jamie won the Army Photographer of the Year Award in 2013 and has taken photographs during postings in Afghanistan (3 times) including 6 months on the Combat Camera Team as well as jobs in Cyprus, Germany and recently East Africa.

We are looking forward to an fascinating evening at The Poppleton Centre on Wednesday 13 January starting at 7.30pm.
