12 December - Portraiture Made simple - David goodier

Our intended speaker, Ian Day, has had to cancel his visit to YPS this coming Wednesday.  At short notice we have booked David Goodier who will give his talk on "Portraiture made simple"  Ambient light and Off Camera Flash Guide.

David is a professionally qualified Yorkshire & Lake District Wedding Photographer, and has also attained a ‘personal’ qualification with the Royal Photographic Society. For many years he has been actively teaching photography in various formats to Camera Clubs, on an individual basis and also as a Guest presenter to local schools

David is also an Approved Photographic Judge & Lecturer for the Yorkshire Photographic Union

He now teaches and runs Landscape Photography courses and also hosts Lake District Landscape Photography Holidays where he takes over a cottage for a few days at a time. David says ‘if you’re awake on one of my courses or holidays then you’re either shooting or talking about photography – not a second is wasted !!!’

Being a Yorkshire & Lake District Wedding Photographer is nothing short of an honour and a great pleasure of his. David says that, naturally, the skills needed for Landscape & Wedding Photography alike encompass a whole range of technical and artistic requirements, meaning I’m just as much at home shooting portraits, headshots, and even creating artistic images of cars.
