This is the website of York Photographic Society, York's longest established photography club and indeed one of Britain's earliest photographic societies. New members are always welcome to this thriving, friendly and energetic camera club.

07 November - 'Immersed in Nature: A Wildlife Photographer's journey' - Paul Miguel

Paul is a widely published nature photographer based in Leeds. His work has been used by many magazines, books and calendars. Paul also run workshops (his own and for Yorkshire Wildlife Trust (YWT)) and tours abroad to Iceland and Serbia. He started taking pictures in his teens and is a completely self-taught photographer. Paul also write articles on various nature subjects.

A trend in his talk will be how he maximises his time during the year to concentrate on specific projects and images. This will include

- working my local patch

- using the wildlife calendar for timing

- specific projects: both home and abroad
