New Season Starts 6th September. Full 2017-2018 programme published

This is the website of York Photographic Society, York's longest established photography club and indeed one of Britain's earliest photographic societies. New members are always welcome to this thriving, friendly and energetic camera club.

It's Competition Time

This week sees York Photographic Society's Monochrome Print Competition being judged by John Reed, husband of last week's excellent speaker, Pat Reed.

Last year, the Monochrome Print Competition was won by Alan Lovett with his wintry shot of Riveaulx Abbey:

Remember that next week (11th February) is the deadline for entries for the YPS Colour Print competition; entry requirements and rules can be found here. The competition itself will be judged on the 11th March by David Burgess

York Photographic Society - York's (and one of Britain's) longest established camera club -  meet at the Poppleton Centre on Wednesday evenings from September to May. The Poppleton Centre is easily accessible and there is ample free parking behind the centre. Tea & coffee is served during the meeting and there is a bar at the centre where we can have a chinwag afterwards. And we always do.
