This follows last week's fascinating insights into the work of acclaimed sports photographer John Giles. Inspirational stuff.

Meanwhile, we can now conform that the date of the York Photographic Society Annual General Meeting will be on the 13th May as per Morris Gregory's recent email.

York Photographic Society meet every week between September and May and host a wide range of internal and invited speakers on all things photographic, along with competitions and project nights; you can see our current programme here. We are a friendly, welcoming bunch who are always happy to receive new members and visitors interested in a particular talk. We meet at the Poppleton Centre at 7.30pm on Wednesdays and there is ample (free) parking, coffee and tea and a bar at the centre where we gather after a meeting to have chat.
