Is it Really Nearly 3 Years Ago? :: This Week at YPS :: 18th February 2015

Is it really nearly 3 years ago?

After last week's well-received photographic talk on Uganda by Jo & Russell Watkins, this week sees York Photographic Society welcoming the Press Association's John Giles who will be showing his images from the 2012 London Olympic Games (when the Press Association was the host photographic agency). You can read about John here.

Whilst I've got your attention, here's an important announcement. The Poppleton Centre is being used for another event the night on which we had planned to hold our AGM. We'll let you know when we have a firm date for the rescheduled AGM but it is likely to be a week later than planned.

It's nice to see that new members are continuing to join YPS even this late in our programme. It's never too late to join us. We meet at 7.30pm every Wednesday between September and May with a short Christmas/New Year break. The venue is the Poppleton Centre which provides ample free, convenient parking. Tea and coffee is available during the meetings and there is a bar at the Centre where we meet up afterwards.
