Up to date information about our current and next meetings on the Blog

This is the website of York Photographic Society, York's longest established photography club and indeed one of Britain's earliest photographic societies. New members are always welcome to this thriving, friendly and energetic camera club.

This Week at YPS :: 28th January 2015

So, has anyone had a look at PolaroidBlipfoto following Rob Swallow's excellent talk last week? Rob's Journal page is here, in case you need reminding.

This week, award-winning photographer and York Photographic Society Life Member, Pat Reed will be visiting us and giving her take on photography in a talk entitled "Pat's Eye".

A reminder that this Wednesday is the deadline for entries for the Yorkshire Photographic Union competition 2015 (see here along with Morris's recent email on the subject for entry details).  Prints and accompanying digital images to Allan Highet please. Entries for the Projected Digital Image competition (i.e. standalone entries, not those accompanying the prints) should be emailed to John Illingworth. Note the naming requirements for digital files as outlined in the YPU guidance.

York Photographic Society - York's (and one of Britain's) longest established camera club -  meet at the Poppleton Centre on Wednesday evenings from September to May. The Poppleton Centre is easily accessible and there is ample free parking behind the centre. Tea & coffee is served during the meeting and there is a bar at the centre where we can have a chinwag afterwards. And we always do.
