We're off to a great start
Last night York Photographic Society were treated to a hugely enjoyable 90 minutes in the company of Gloucester-based photographer Leigh Preston.
He showed his images from his travels, the 2012 London Olympics, the Edinburgh Fringe and his powerful interpretation of the events of last 100 years, reflected in photographs of objects and locations.
He also showed images from his eclectic collection highlighting the absurdities and paradoxes of life.
We welcomed a number of new faces to the Society last night and we hope you enjoyed Leigh's talk. Next week we have an Open Evening where current YPS members will show images that represent what the summer meant to them this year.
We always welcome new members and we'd love to see some more new faces next week as well as welcome back prospective new members who came to Leigh's talk.
