York Photographic Society

Up to date information about our current and next meetings on the Blog

This is the website of York Photographic Society, York's longest established photography club and indeed one of Britain's earliest photographic societies. New members are always welcome to this thriving, friendly and energetic camera club.

Here we go again...

Can it really be September already? At least we've had a bit of a summer this year and as I type, the sky is blue and the air is still warm as we go into autumn.

Anyway, September can only mean one thing and that is the start of the new York Photographic Society season.

And we have a great talk to start things rolling - on Wednesday evening (3rd September), Leigh Preston, FRPS, EVIAP, MPAGB, FIPE, will be delivering his lecture entitled, "Is This It?" You can find out a bit about Leigh by clicking the image below.

Please also bring along two of your images that represent your summer along with about 50 words giving the background to give to Peter Bayliss.

YPS members' summer images will be the subject of the following Wednesday's evening activities (10th September).

So, see you at the Poppleton Centre on Wednesday evening. We start at 7.30pm and there'll be tea & coffee too. There's plenty of free parking behind the Centre and we typically finish at around 9pm. After the meeting, you can join us in the Poppleton Centre bar for a chat.
