YPS Project Night - "Water"
Last night was the first of our themed Project Nights of the current season and as usual, we were treated to some spectacular images with 20 members interpreting the theme of "Water" in different ways.
In all, 117 images were submitted with members commenting on why and how they took the image and answering questions posed by other members.
Scarborough sea front proved particularly popular with quite a few images presented with waves crashing over the sea wall...
There was some high-speed flash jiggerypokery...
And at the other end of the exposure scale, some beautiful long exposures...

Our next Project Night is on the 26th November when the theme will be "Impact".
Finally, for York Photographic Society Members, don't forget that an important date is fast approaching - the 29th October is the deadline for both the Digital Image and the John Saville Rosebowl Competitions.
The full Competition Rules are here; pay particular attention to Sections 2, 5 and 8 for how to submit and name your digital images for competition purposes. Last year's winning and commended entries can be found under "Competition Images" on the Main Menu.
