York Photographic Society

New Season Starts 6th September. Full 2017-2018 programme published

This is the website of York Photographic Society, York's longest established photography club and indeed one of Britain's earliest photographic societies. New members are always welcome to this thriving, friendly and energetic camera club.

Patrick Kaye will be giving a talk to York Photographic Society on the 10th December 2014. His presentation is entitled, "In Polar Regions". This is the last formal talk of 2014 as the week after, we'll be having our auction night with mince pies before taking our customary Christmas and New Year break.

Patrick will be showing a series of images from three voyages to the two Polar Regions that he has been on within the last two years.  There will be both colour and monochrome images and the themes will include landscapes, animals and the hand of Man.

Patrick has had a keen interest in photography for more than 50 years and says that he has been lucky enough to have seen much of the World either through being in the army or going on photography trips.

As Patrick says, “I am constantly exploring new genres and post-processing techniques – and even new equipment: I have hung up my Nikon D800 and bought into a micro 4/3rds system on health grounds!”
