This is the website of York Photographic Society, York's longest established photography club and indeed one of Britain's earliest photographic societies. New members are always welcome to this thriving, friendly and energetic camera club.

York Photographic Society's annual Colour Print Competition was held on 6th March and was judged by Martin Stubbs.  Martin was impressed by the high standard of entries and had great difficulty in selecting the winners, highly commended and commended prints.

Congratulations goes to Neville Turton who won this year's Competition with his entry entitled, "Dalmatian Pelican - Greece". Martin was impressed by the pose of the bird, the clean background, detail and texture of the feathers and the colour contrast provided by the bill and eye.
