27th September "All Round Colour and a little Black and White" Stephen Dean Further information on the Blog

This is the website of York Photographic Society, York's longest established photography club and indeed one of Britain's earliest photographic societies. New members are always welcome to this thriving, friendly and energetic camera club.

On November 4th, 2015 - the same night as the judging of the Projected Digital Image Competition - John Illingworth was also the judge for competition for the John Saville Rosebowl which showcases photography by YPS members of the city of York and its immediate surroundings. The winner this year was Jaime Raynor-Joyce with her unusual view of The Shambles, "Asperous" (the adjective meaning, we learned, "rough or uneven").  Click on the image to view on black.
