This is the website of York Photographic Society, York's longest established photography club and indeed one of Britain's earliest photographic societies. New members are always welcome to this thriving, friendly and energetic camera club.

The first YPS competition of the 2015-16 Season - for projected digital images - was held on November 4th 2015 and expertly judged by John Illingworth. There were over 90 entries to this year's competition and as usual, the standard was extremely high and we were treated to some fantastic photography. John certainly had his work cut out for this one, especially since he was also judging the John Saville Rosebowl on the same night.

Alas, there can only be one winner and this year it was Harry Silcock who won with his quirky and striking shot, "Inquisitive Rams". Click on the image to view on black.
