The winning entry from the 2014-15 John Saville Rosebowl was "Recursion" by Russell Watkins. The John Saville Rosebowl is awarded for the best projected digital image that depicts some aspect of life, or a feature within the boundary, of the City of York Council. This year, the competition was judged by John Saunders of York Camera Club.
A selection of other entries to the John Saville Trophy 2014-15 is also shown in the grid below. There are no awards other than "Winner" in the John Saville Trophy. One thing to mention here though (and something that was remarked upon by the Judge) is that many of the images were not recognisably of York. In other words, whilst an image may have been taken in York, there was nothing to distinguish it from being taken anywhere else. Something to bear in mind for next year's John Saville competition perhaps. Anyway, back to the Gallery - click on an image to enlarge it and view a slideshow.
